Thanks-Giving Square presents Merry TubaChristmas
A group of more than 175 area tuba, sousaphone, euphonium, and baritone players will present the 39th annual Dallas concert of holiday carols. Jack Delaney, Director of Bands and Professor of Music at Southern Methodist University, will serve as the 2016 Guest Conductor, and WFAA’s Brett Shipp will be Master of Ceremonies again this year.
All area tuba, sousaphone, euphonium and baritone players are cordially invited to join the performance. Performers are encouraged to dress in weather-appropriate attire and bring a music stand. Registration and rehearsal will take place the morning of the performance at Thanks-Giving Square.

Lights All Night New Year's Eve Party
Lights All Night is two-day festival that draws tens of thousands for the ultimate party experience. For its seventh annual celebration and second turn at Dallas Market Hall, event organizers Dallas-based Highland Concerts will be amping up the Lights All Night experience.
Headliners deadmau5, Above & Beyond, and ZEDD will be joined by A$AP Ferg, NERO, RL Grime, and Tchami. AT&T Performing Arts Center presents Reliant Lights Your Holidays
AT&T Performing Arts Center will present its annual free holiday event, Reliant Lights Your Holidays, now taking place on New Year's Eve after being postponed earlier in the month. The Center’s iconic venues and trees will be illuminated by hundreds of thousands of dazzling LED lights.
The event, taking place from 5:30-8:30 pm, includes a gigantic New Year's Eve fireworks show, holiday concert featuring A.B. Quintanilla y Elektro Kumbia, a performance by the cast of The Book of Mormon, and community performances from South Grand Prairie High School Ballet Folklorico, Tap Dazzlers and Studio One Dance Center's Elite Competition Team.

Hunt Realty and Reunion Tower are collaborating with AT&T to bring a very special New Year’s Eve event to Dallas, AT&T Streaming Lights at Reunion Tower. This dazzling display will feature more than 4,000 pyrotechnic special effects with the magnificent downtown skyline as its backdrop.
With AT&T’s headquarters based in Dallas, the company joined in supporting this event as a gift to the city and surrounding community.

Vogel Alcove presents Day 1 Dallas
Returning for its second year, Day 1 Dallas is a family fair designed for children and families to celebrate New Year’s Day together. The event will feature interactive children’s activities, crafts and games and a spectacular fireworks show.
Day 1 Dallas will offer activities that kids of all ages will love, including:
- A Lego area with with Big Bricks, Technic, 3D, Mosaics & Robotics PLUS creations on display from the DFW Lego Users Group
- A petting zoo featuring more than 20 exotic animals, including lemurs and baby kangaroos
- Circus training by the Circus Freaks
- A real snow hill for making snowballs and sledding and an exciting zip line
- A science safari with 14 different STEM activities
- Photos with Star Wars characters
- Performances by a magician and a mentalist
- Live music from local acts
New this year, the event will also feature Fireworks, Food & Fun from 5-7 pm. A donation to Vogel Alcove grants entry for live music, food & drinks from local food trucks (purchased separately) and fireworks.
